Cat Spay

When can I spay my cat?

Cats come into season for the first time when they are around 7 months old or over - frequently around 9 months of age. We normally spay (neuter, by carrying out an ovario-hysterectomy) a young cat when she is 6 months, before she comes into season.

If your cat is an adult female, aim to spay between seasons.
