We are seeing quite a bit of coughing in dogs. This infectious cough often spreads in boarding kennels, then spreads to your dog in the park. Vaccine is available for kennel cough/infectious cough, but it does not cover every cough, though it protects well against many. Much cheaper if it is done at the same time as annual vaccinations.
